A Very Spooq’y Halloween Special
Determined to win a Halloween contest against his neighborhood rival, Aasif and the kids turn their home into a haunted terrorist training camp.
American Muslims behave like most other Americans. In this episode they celebrate Halloween and try to impress their neighbors. Yet because American Muslims are subjected to unjustified suspicion, mundane actions like these too often are viewed with alarm and suspicion. This is compounded by the limited contact many non-Muslims have with Muslims; instead they rely on images from TV and film to shape their perspective.
Few non-Muslims in the United States have ever visited a Muslim institution, yet a vocal minority has succeeded in undermining community plans to build or expand mosques and other Islamic spaces.
